Angel Accounting began in 1991. Our director Louise McCabe, had just qualified as a Corporate Bank Manager. She started working part time as a freelance accountant for SME's in the Birmingham area.
Thanks to her success, we opened our first office in Hall Green, Birmingham 2003. In 2021, we moved to the countryside and are now based in Alcester, Warwickshire.
Our mission in 1991 was to make success happen for SMEs. Over 30 years later, and that mission is still the exact same - just now with some added technology we didn't have back then!
Louise has stood up for clients in the High Court, helped new businesses get funding and guided business owners through big decisions.

Director
Ex banker turned accountant, Louise's career is the definition of "been there done that" with the t-shirt to prove it. That t-shirt is probably made by Louise, with sewing being a large hobby of hers. 9-5 sewing your finances together, 5-9 sewing some new clothes!
Sally Briggs
Practice Manager
With a vast work experience across a variety of roles, Sally brings knowledge, organisation, and a steady hand to her position. Whether she’s managing the smooth running of the practice or perfecting a skincare regime, she does it with attention to detail and genuine care for the people around her.

Marketing Executive
Sports fanatic Mj joined us as an apprentice, fresh out of sixth form. From filming TikToks to writing Emails, tactics rule her work. At the weekends, you can catch her at the gym or watching Birmingham City. KRO!
Ellie Steanes
Accountant
AAT qualified and studying for her ACCA, Ellie rejoined the team this year and jumped straight back into Angel life. When not studying for her exams or completing your VAT, you can find her (trying) to learn Spanish, or finding the newest takeaway in town to try. Yum.
Pia Swingler
Payroll Officer
Between completing your payslips and cracking a (terrible) joke, Pia keep the team laughing while making sure you pay your PAYE. She can walk for miles, chasing sunsets with her two boys and is known for dropping 'unusual' motivational quotes into conversations!
Dawn Dodwell
Accountant
With 35 years experience and FCAA trained, Dawn has seen more figures than a cinema box office. Give her a pub quiz category of "Bank Reconciliations" and she's getting full marks. Oh and she's got a post grad diploma in Medical Ethics and Law. What can't she do?

AAT qualified and boasting years of experience in finance, Kate made the switch from industry to practice when joining us. Complex spreadsheets almost keep her as busy as her 2 daughters, who love to drag her out on shopping trips, and learning the saxophone!

Chasing records, scanning & processing files, you name it she does it. Unpacking your receipts is like unpacking her suitcase after a weekend away. When not dealing with your queries, she can be caught camping, tucked into sleeping bags and kayaking!
